Prairie Star Quilts is a destination quilt shop located just off Interstate 80 (exit 54) between Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. "Country" is our look. We specialize in homespuns and reproductions. Known as Moda headquarters in Iowa, we have the largest selection of flannels in the area.
We're known for our kits for everything from small wall hangings and garments to bed quilts.
Our on staff designers publish patterns and books and owner Julie Larsen designs one or two original blocks of the month each year. We hold three quilt retreats yearly and organize special retreats for groups of quilters from four to a busload.
We really believe in serving our customers. Don't hesitate to ask for our help. We love to choose fabrics for a special project and we'll gladly help you figure yardage. We consider fabric searches a real challenge--just try us.
